Description

The basic minor chord, 1-b3-5, is often extended by soloists and chord players with a b7 (m7) or a b7 and 9 (m9). It can also have an 11 or a 13 added to it.

Standard scale choice

For this chord type, you should use the Dorian mode: 1 2 b3 4 5 6 b7
